I like to go whenever i get the chance for sunday lunch! its absolutely fantastic , not only is it excellent value for money the food is first class , the staff are always lovely and helpful . its always lovely and warm ,, i feel like i have been somewhere really special when i,ve been for sunday lunch and its soooooo so cozy , thanks ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It is so refreshing to visit an old pub that has been so sympathetically and tastefully refurbished, a breath of fresh air when so many pubs are closing down, full marks! The food also is of a high restaurant standard and the presentation, top class! We look forward to visiting many more times in the future.

We recently visited the Red Lion for our 46th wedding anniversary with friends ,the food,service and atmosphere it the pub was second to none.
After telling my brothers about the Red LIon and how fantastic I thought it was we decided to book for lunch mid week unfortunately for us you dont do midweek lunches.I was so dissapointed,but we will make it when the nights are lighter as we all would be traveling a reasonable distance.

We Love going to the red Lion, we go there quite often and its proper home cooked food. Would recommend it to anyone, simply wonderful.

The service was great and the food even better.
The Red Lion has been up-dated recently to a very high standard very homely and with roaring log fires. However its gets very busy and you are advised to book early. It will be worth it.

I stumbled on your pub while visiting the Roaches with my friends. The food was really lovely and everyone said it seemed really good value. I’m pleased we visited, and sat in the beer garden soaking up the sun. Shame I don’t live closer or I’d visit again.

We had a birthday party for my dad at the Red Lion recently. I have to say the owners and staff really went out of their way to accommodate all of us and make the day special. There were 15 of us, and everyone said their meals were superb. We were in the new dining room which is beautiful. I’ve been up to the pub on a couple of occasions before, based on recommendations and have always been really impressed. We’ll all be heading back soon for my 25th wedding anniversary. I cannot recommend the Red Lion more highly.

While staying at the Blackshaw Moor caravan site my friends and I had a superb meal at the Red Lion. The service was maybe a little slow but the food was well worth waiting for! The place was pretty full when we were in there so you may have to book. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening. It’s back to the diet now I’m home!

We do try our best to avoid waits but sometimes they are inevitable, especially when we are particularly busy, since all food is cooked to order.
