We are located in the village of Thorncliffe in The Staffordshire Moorlands and at the foot of the Peak National Park and only 5 minutes drive from Leek or less than half an hour from Buxton, Ashbourne, Macclesfield, Congleton and The Potteries – please note you will require your own transport.

Over the next month we will be seeking talented bar and kitchen staff including a Head Chef or Cook to be part of our team. If you have a definite ‘can do’ attitude, who pays excellent attention to detail, has a real passion for food and drink, with the ability to bring added value to whatever you do then we have the following vacancies.

Chef/Cook – full time
we are looking for someone who is self motivated and passionate about food, and who is able to lead a small but highly committed team at this increasingly successful pub. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in a similar position, with a proven track record in high end catering. You will be expected to assist in running all aspects of the kitchen, including creating menu’s, managing stock levels and negotiating with suppliers.

Trainee Chef/Cook
this position would ideally suit someone at either Buxton or Stoke catering College.

Bar Manager – full time
must be able to communicate at all levels, be able to run all aspects of the bar and other general duties including organising staff, stock control, bookings and looking after customers’ needs. Previous experience with a proven track record in a similar position would be advantageous.

Waiting on and Bar Staff – full and part time
we are looking for candidates with smart appearance. Mainly working evening and week-end shifts, but we also have some lunch time shifts available. You must be able to work at short notice, if required.

Kitchen Porter – part time
this is mainly week-end work but again must be able to work at short notice, if required.
