The Sutton family warmly welcome you to the Red Lion at Thorncliffe, the place for great food and great times.

Follow the twists and turns of the country roads towards Thorncliffe, just off the Buxton road outside Leek and you will find yourself at the delightful Red Lion country inn. The inn dates back to 1787 and is nestled in a secluded spot bordering the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District National Park.

We are extremely proud to have been awarded the highest five star rating by the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council for food hygiene. The five star ratings is awarded for exemplary standards in food and hygiene procedure.

Normal Menu Served:

• Tuesday - Friday: 6pm - 9pm
• Saturday: 6pm - 9.30pm
• Sunday: 12 noon - 8pm (roast served 12 noon - 3.30pm)

Early Bird Menu

• Tuesday - Friday: 6pm - 7pm
• Sunday: 4pm - 6pm

Steak Night

• Thursday: 6pm - 9pm
